Come and listen to the Band as we make the final preparations for our historic appearance at the Royal Albert Hall for the National Finals The rehearsal will take place in St Michaels Church, Aldbourne, Tues 4th October starting at 8pm and entry is free. Come and go as you please.
This evening it was the turn of the percussion section to arrive at rehearsal early for some extra practice on the National Finals test piece “Journey of the Lone Wolf”. Percussion figures quite heavily in this test piece and is just as important a section as the rest of the band.

David Johnson, our inspirational and over talkative Musical Director, made a commitment to Aldbourne Band. On achieving qualification to the National Finals, he promised to have the bands iconic “Dabchick” emblem tattooed on his body. Early in June, the Band travelled to Amboise, France for our first attendance at the prestigious French Open Contest. It was a great weekend which in addition to the obvious Contest, allowed the Band to spend some time in the lovely town of Amboise and City of Tours and blend in with the other tourists.
