Youth Band

Training Band before June Pond 2015

In 2011 the Aldbourne Training Band was established as a way of encouraging In more youngsters to take up playing brass as a hobby and to continue the 150 year tradition of high quality brass banding in the village. From January 2016 the band changed it’s name to the Aldbourne Youth Band. There is also a Junior band for players who are just beginning to play.

The Youth Band meets at the Aldbourne Memorial Hall at 7pm on a Tuesday evening with the Junior Band starting at 6.30pm for a half hour before. Although most of the players are young people there are some retired bandsmen who come and share their experience, as well as a committed group of other adult players who help the youngsters. If you are interested in joining either band please contact Alan Watson on 01672 540580 for more details.
