Jack Easterbrook-Grimmett (Flugel)

Jack Easterbrook-Grimmett joined the Dabchicks after an incredible 24 years at Hyde Band since starting in their training band! During his time with Hyde, Jack undertook the role of Band Manager and had the pleasure of leading the band on principal cornet.


Hayley Beynon (Solo Horn)

Hayley was introduced to brass playing by her dad in The Salvation Army when she was 8 years old; where she went on to play in the Young People’s band until she was 16, transfering then to to the senior band. At the age of 24, Hayley joined The Salvation Army’s Household Troops Band,which was founded in 1887 and became the band’s first ever female player, touring extensively with the band including Australia and Singapore. As well as playing for Salvation Army bands, Hayley has played for a number of South Wales competing bands, joining Tongwynlais Temperance Band with her dad, staying with them for a number of years before moving to City of Cardiff, and more recently to Llwydcoed who went on to play at the National Finals in 2021. After much soul-seeking, Hayley decided to say goodbye to her beloved Welsh banding and cross the Severn Bridges to join Aldbourne.

Emily Collins (2nd Horn)

Emily has been playing since 2005 when her dad started teaching her to play the tenor horn. She started playing in Bare Trees Community Band where she stayed until she was 11 . In 2013, Emily joined The Oldham Band (Lees) who went on to compete regularly at the British Open Spring Festival, and performed at the National Finals in 2022, where she sat on solo baritone.

Emily was involved in The University of Manchester Brass Band as the solo baritone and brass band manager. Whilst completing her Masters in International Political Economy, she played tune percussion at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade and played for a number of bands in Yorkshire and the North West. 

Since, Emily has moved South and joined Aldbourne Band in January 2024, where she has returned to the horn section.
