In a month’s time, three Aldbourne Band members will be swapping their instruments for their running shoes as they take on the Swindon half marathon to raise funds for the organisation!
Team 3rd cornet (also known as Jane and Ali!) alongside Andy, who plays 2nd baritone, will be hitting the undulating route on Sunday 27th September and have been training hard in preparation.
No stranger to a pre-contest run (with a 5K before their Areas performances now a firm tradition), the trio are fitting in their training alongside rehearsals for both the British Open Brass Band Championship and National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and their day jobs!
By supporting their half marathon challenge, you’ll be helping Aldbourne Band continue to:
-Present high-quality public performances across Wiltshire and beyond.
-Inspire a love of brass band music.
-Provide instruments and musical opportunities for children and adults of all abilities.
